Ignition of spirit and voice can take years, but once burning, its flame is difficult to put out.
I made this film with two local students in Hong Kong during my term abroad at HKU. It captures the politically charged events of the latter-half of 2019 from a different perspective than we’re used to seeing in the media and on the ground.
A note – I am an Indian-American, and was only in Hong Kong for 4 months. This story is a result of many, many conversations with local Hongkongers, to whom this story can be credited.
